The time has once again come to announce our annual charity football game:
Karl Duguid Colchester Utd Legends vs The Hope for Grace FC team
The game is on Sunday 18th May 2025, here at Stanway Rovers Football Club with a 1:00pm kick off. Gates open at 12:00 noon.
We would like to give a massive shout out to this years officials Ref Phil Molloy with his sons Jake and Ethan Molloy. This is their 5th year of giving up their time to come along and ref this charity game and we are all very thankful to them.
So come along on the 18th of May to watch Hope for Grace FC take on Karl Duguid Colchester United legends and cheer on the players, and (of course) give the refs some (light hearted) stick,
Entrance will be cash only:
£5 for adults
£2 for children
And we have some massive news : legends manager Matt Calmus will be joined in the dugout by none other than Ipswich Town and former Colchester United FC ace Sammie Szmodics! So come on down to the big game to meet the man himself.

We're excited to announce that this year we have the Essex Flames Cheerleading and Dancing squad coming entertain and wow the crowd before the game, plus an amazing half time show!
We have Tippy-Toes Faces, Face Painter & Body Glitter Artist - Essex
Ellwoods Cakes will also be within the ground selling her yummy sweet treats!
We will have a bouncy castle up and running for all the kids to enjoy thanks to Matty Max Maintenance Man.
And not fogetting after the games we have EmmaLouise Nicholls performing to sing you through a lovely Sunday evening in the sunshine!
And most importantly, new this year we have Willshers Whole Hog (A. Willsher & Son) to provide some incredible BBQ food, with a special themed menu for you to enjoy after the game!
