It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the passing of one of our own, long standing and very well loved, members. Especially as it was only in March 2024 that we said goodbye to her husband, Peter Cracknell.
Gillian Denise Cracknell (Gill to all of us) passed away peacefully at home on 29th May 2025, aged 77 years. Beloved wife of the late Peter, Mum of Dean and Melanie, and dear Nanna to Joe, Ruby, Jake and Jonny, will be sadly missed by all family and friends.
Her funeral service will be at Colchester Crematorium on Friday 11th July at 1:45pm and a continued celebration of Gill’s life will be held here at Stanway Rovers FC after the service.
The family have requested donations to the Stroke Association in lieu of flowers - donations can be made via gilliancracknell.muchloved.com.
