Peters Funeral will take place on Friday 15th March at Colchester Crematorium at 1-45pm. His wake will follow and be held at Stanway Rovers Football Club, 50 New Farm Road, Colchester, CO3 0PG.

About the event
Stanway Rovers was saddened to announce that Peter Cracknell passed away on Sunday the 11th February 2024 with his family at his side.
Peter had been involved with Stanway from the 1970’s when, after refereeing a local fixture, he would pop in for post match refreshment.
Peter became involved with Stanway Rovers shortly after joining the management committee. During his time with Stanway he held the positions of Treasurer, General Secretary and then Chairman.
Peter was also a trustee of the loan during the construction of the New Club Premises.
Peter worked tirelessly for the club and was ever present at work parties, helping to create the pitch (stone picking etc). He was also the club quiz master on many occasions plus participating in numerous other tasks.
Peter will be sorely missed by all at Stanway Rovers.
